Dear Democrats

Democrats are no longer a party in disarray - The Boston Globe

Dear Democrats,

Congratulations, you did it. Joe Biden is President and you have the majority in congress. Your mission has been accomplished, Trump is out of office and you can now have your way.

And I have only one thing to say about it all.

You better own it.

As far as I am concerned you no longer have any right to complain about the government. The incoming administration is what you have been longing to have for the last four years, so you better be celebrating every law that is enforced. You voted for it.

This means that when we are paying $4.00 for a gallon of gas. Own it.

When the country is shut down and you don’t have a job. Own it.

When your income taxes go up by 10% and you see nothing change other than bureaucrats salaries. Own it.

When you no longer can attend church because it isn’t “safe” or politically correct. Own it.

When your ability to speak freely is eliminated online and in person. Own it.

When the job market stops growing and people lose their jobs because corporations are taxed too heavily to employ more people. Own it.

The list could go on.

You voted for these things. You are all responsible for the reason our lives are about to get significantly more complicated and expensive. All for what? Free Healthcare? Race Relations? Abortion Rights? Climate Change?

Or, is it because you have an intense hatred of a man you never met, because someone told you to? A man who had no direct effect on your life, and put laws in place to keep it that way.

Ask yourself this: Are these things really worth giving up your freedom for? .

I say no.

For many of you (whether you know it or not) your answer to this question is also a no. I know this because you leave your blue states in droves. You know that your way of life is not ideal there. New York and California, along with many other Democrat states, are losing people to other states in massive quantities. Then in pure irony, you come to our red states and vote for the laws that you decided to leave. That is the definition of foolishness! On behalf of every Republican, I ask you to stop doing this. If you are going to vote blue, go live somewhere blue. Don’t make us suffer the same fate as the state you chose to leave, we didn’t ask for it.

To be honest, I feel bad for all of you. Many of you have been tricked into believing that our problems are astronomically large. The media has done a great job at making people believe that racism, climate change, and health care, are the world’s largest issues. They have made you forget the core of who America is.

We are still the greatest country in human history. Even the poorest among us have a better quality of life than much of the world’s population. I ask you to step outside of your concerns for one moment and take a look at where you are. You live in the richest country on earth, you own a smartphone, have internet access (you are reading this after all), possibly a car, you have a roof over your head, and probably a credit card in your pocket that could get you anything your heart desires. We have the greatest healthcare in the world that leads in innovation, with some of the best and brightest doctors in the world. We have the most desired universities in the world with some of the brightest minds studying and teaching there from across the globe. People from all over the world work hard to have an opportunity to even just catch a glimpse of America.

And you voted to jeopardize that…

There is little I can do now other than hope and pray that I keep the rights that I hold dear. I will stand and speak what I believe is right, but I am not a lawmaker, and my faith in the current administration is low. I do not believe that this administration cares about the American people, even you. Yes, you voted for them, but, I promise, they do not care. They will do what they please, when they please, for their own benefit and gain.

So the next time I see you complain about your government officials, I will be reminding you that you put them there. I will not have time to hear your grievances, I will be working hard to make sure you and I can keep the fundamental things that make us Americans.

Sincerely,

Your Republican Neighbor
